Founder’s Story
Dr. Sharon Gayoung Cho established Music Matters Lab Collective out of a lifelong devotion to music and a desire to nurture the next generation of artists.
A concert violinist and educator, she has witnessed how a single performance or an inspiring mentor can transform a young musician’s path.
Her experiences, from intimate teaching studios to international concert halls, reaffirm her conviction that music transcends boundaries and brings people together.
This conviction is the guiding spirit of Music Matters Lab Collective.
Our Mission
Music Matters Lab Collective nurtures the next generation of musicians through performances, mentorship, and collaborative community programs.
We believe that music is more than sound—it is a bridge between cultures, a force for equity, and a reason to dream.
Our goal is simple yet profound: to give talented young artists the opportunities, guidance, and audience support they need to share their art without barriers.
How We Begin
Our first programs are designed to be intimate, inspiring, and community-centered:
chamber concerts that pair gifted students with seasoned professionals,
mentorship sessions that spark creativity, and
cultural exchanges that open doors to new sounds and ideas.
With every rehearsal and performance, we strive to make music a shared experience that enriches everyone present.
